Net profit of Inter RAO according to IFRS for 9 months decreased by 5% – Kommersant

Net profit of the Russian energy company Inter RAO (MOEX: IRAO) according to IFRS in January-September decreased by 5% compared to the same period in 2022, to 97.2 billion rubles. This follows from the company’s reporting published on website Center for Corporate Information Disclosure.
Revenue for nine months amounted to 969.2 billion rubles, which is 7.3% more than the same period last year. Operating expenses increased by 8.5%, to 879 billion rubles, capital expenses – by 16.4%, to 35.5 billion rubles. Loans and borrowings from Inter RAO increased by 45.1% and amounted to 19.4 billion rubles. EBITDA decreased to RUB 127.3 billion. (-4.5%).
The company explained the dynamics of financial results, including an increase in the operating efficiency of sales assets, an increase in energy consumption in the Russian Federation, indexation of tariffs for thermal energy, and a reorientation of export supplies to the east.
October 26 Inter RAO published financial results for nine months according to RAS. According to these data, net profit decreased by 6.8 times and amounted to 4.86 billion rubles. The company’s revenue decreased by 42.8% and amounted to 31.1 billion rubles. Cost of sales decreased by 7.2%, to 25.1 billion rubles, the loss on sales amounted to 2.53 billion rubles.
