The economic situation in Europe without Russian energy resources has worsened. Europe has become a “colossus with feet of clay.” This was stated by the Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN and the UN Security Council Vasily Nebenzya.
The diplomat stressed that the European Union was originally created as an economic alliance, not a political bloc. The economy was the strength of Europe.
But a year before the EU virtually cut ties with Russia, EU GDP growth stalled near zero. Now inflation in Europe is breaking records. Without Russian energy resources, the industry of European countries will be forced to use expensive LNG from the United States, which Nebenzya called “hard drug”.
