Nebenzia allowed the termination of the “grocery deal” due to non-compliance with the conditions

Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya allowed Russia to refuse further participation in the “product deal”, since some of the agreements regarding food exports from Russia are not being observed, transmits RIA Novosti agency.

Nebenzya recalled that the deal is valid for four months – it expires in November. Since the beginning of the agreements on the “grain deal”, Russia has not been able to take out a single vessel with agricultural products, the permanent representative of the Russian Federation said. According to him, because of this, the deal on the export of food may not be extended. Answering a question about the threat of a collapse of the deal, he noted that he was not participating in negotiations on its extension, but allowed any scenario due to non-fulfillment of the terms of the deal.

On July 22, representatives of Turkey and the UN signed separate agreements with representatives of Russia and Ukraine on the export of Ukrainian grain from the ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk and Yuzhny, as well as on assistance in the export of Russian grain and fertilizers. July 27 in Istanbul, the SKC began work on the export of grain. Within the framework of the agreement on grain, it is also expected to remove restrictions on the export of Russian food and fertilizers.

The fact that the terms of the deal with Russia “are being implemented much worse” than the first part, related to the export of Ukrainian grain from the blocked Black Sea ports, was announced at the end of August by the Russian Foreign Ministry. At that time, Deputy Minister Andrei Rudenko said that Moscow would like the execution of both agreements “synchronously and in parallel”, but the restrictions that prevent Russia from exporting its agricultural products still remain.
