The National Basketball Association (NBA), together with the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi, will host the NBA District “warm-up” event for basketball fans and all those interested in the capital of the UAE. It is timed to coincide with the demonstration performances of two clubs in the league – last year’s champion Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks, which will meet for the first time in two preseason games on October 6 and 8 at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island. The four-day NBA District, scheduled at the Manarat Al Saadiyat Gallery from October 5 to 9, will feature music, media and art related to the basketball subculture.
Fans will be able not only to watch NBA games, but also to take part in master classes, take pictures with the league’s commemorative trophies, have fun at parties with the participation of Bliss, a popular DJ in the UAE, Shona, a Milwaukee Bucks club DJ, world hip-hop star Fabolous, and purchase items from the limited collection of NBA clothing. A one-day ticket for the NBA District costs 55 dirhams (that is, approximately 1,000 rubles), a ticket for all five days costs 215 dirhams (3,500 rubles).
