Stavridis: negotiations between Russia and Ukraine can take place after the US elections
According to the Hill newspaper, former commander-in-chief of NATO forces in Europe James Stavridis, in a conversation with reporters, spoke about the timing of the possible start of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
In his opinion, the start of discussions can be expected after the presidential elections in the United States at the end of 2024. At the same time, the American military did not rule out that Ukraine would still be admitted to NATO.
“Towards the end of the year, probably after the US presidential elections, a window for negotiations will open before us… At the same time, I predict Ukraine’s entry into NATO,” Stavridis said.
