The command of the NATO contingent in Kosovo rejected the Serbian request for the introduction of the police and the army in Kosovo and Metohija. This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on TV Pink.
“In their carefully crafted letter to the Serbian government, they wrote that there was no need for the Serbian army to return to Kosovo and Metohija,” Vučić said.
According to him, the command referred to UN Security Council Resolution 1244, which authorizes the international civilian and military presence in Kosovo.
Vučić added that this is an expected and predictable response.
Previously Vucic named nine countrieswho withdrew recognition of Kosovo’s independence.
