NATO General Kuyat announced Putin’s readiness for dialogue if the West ends support for Ukraine
The former head of the NATO military committee, Harald Kujat, in a conversation with Weltwoche, said that Russia is ready for negotiations on Ukraine, provided that Western countries stop supplying weapons to Kyiv.
As the general noted, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia has always been ready for negotiations, and the Russian side, as before, is ready for them. Kuyat emphasized that a prerequisite for this is the cessation of support for Ukraine, clarifying that we are talking about the cessation of military support from the West.
The former head of the military committee of the North Atlantic Alliance called the failed Istanbul negotiations one of the most important details of the Ukrainian crisis. He recalled that the dialogue between the Russian and Ukrainian sides in Istanbul reached the point of signing preliminary agreements.
