NATO exercises start in Romania

In Romania, the large multinational NATO exercises “Saber Guardian 23” will start, RIA Novosti reports, citing a statement by the Romanian defense department.
As reported, representatives of 13 countries will take part in the exercise, including from Albania, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Moldova, the United States and the Netherlands. The total number of military personnel will be about 10 thousand, equipment – about 1.7 thousand units.
The statement said that this is the largest and most complex multinational exercise planned for this year, which will take place on training grounds and military installations in Romania.
It is clarified that within the framework of the exercises, ground maneuvers, forcing water barriers, live firing, the use of equipment of all categories of troops, and other activities will be worked out.
