Named categories of citizens eligible for deferment from conscription

Lawyer Pavel Chikov explained in his Telegram channel which categories of citizens are entitled to deferment from conscription during mobilization.
According to him, these norms are contained in Article 18 of the Federal law “On mobilization training and mobilization in the Russian Federation”.
In particular, the text states that the deferment is granted to citizens whose categories are determined by the Government of Russia.
In addition, a six-month deferment is granted to those who are recognized as temporarily unfit for military service for health reasons.
Also, they will not call on those who constantly care for close relatives, who, according to the conclusion of the medical and social examination, need such care. Or if the citizen subject to mobilization is the guardian of a minor relative.
The deferment will be granted to persons who have four or more dependent children or who are raising a child without a mother.
The reason may be the wife’s pregnancy at the age of at least 22 weeks with two children.
In addition, according to the law, the deferment is granted to members of the Federation Council and deputies of the State Duma.
