In Russia, the share of non-cash payments has exceeded more than 80%, while 10 years ago the figure was 25%, said the Chairman of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, at the Knowledge Society marathon as part of the Russia exhibition and forum.

“One of the indicators of the “advancement” of the financial system is the share of non-cash payments. Now we have almost the share of non-cash payments – more than 80%,” – said she (quote from TASS).

Central Bank earlier reported about the increase in the share of those who prefer to store savings on bank deposits – from 24% in 2021 to 38% in 2022. According to the regulator, 37% of Russians use a debit card to store savings (22% a year earlier). 36% of Russians surveyed by the Central Bank keep their savings in cash.
