A self-nominated candidate for the presidential election, entrepreneur Rada Russkikh, in conversation with “Kommersant-Ural” called the goal of her campaign “to be a priority on the political agenda.” At the same time, she believes that she can win the presidential elections in 2030 or 2036.

The Russian Rada was born in Sverdlovsk (since 1991 – Yekaterinburg) in 1984. She owns the RadaRusskikh cosmetics brand, is a beauty blogger and professional makeup artist. Ms. Russkikh’s team promotes the ideas of rational consumption of resources. On December 29, 2023, the Central Election Commission registered an initiative group to nominate Mrs. Russian as a presidential candidate. By January 31, it must submit at least 300 thousand signatures to the CEC for registration.

In a conversation with Kommersant, the blogger admitted that she did not know how many signatures she managed to collect. “Until the signatures are registered with a notary in the regions, they will not be read to me,” she said.

“We did not prepare for the elections in advance and did not intend to drain the budgets. We were looking for a way to gain initial experience of the election campaign so that no one would suffer, including the country. If I become president now, this is the worst possible outcome of events. I want to be the first to appear on the political agenda,” admitted Ms. Russkikh.

She plans to “run for president again” in six and 12 years. “I don’t see any problem winning them. I have been gaining my leadership experience for many years, I have a tendency to solve serious problems and take on extra workloads. I soberly understand that now it is too early for me to become president, I need to study. But later I will be a better leader because I have a big mind, good experience and I am a globalist. I see everything within the framework of the planet and look as a visionary for many years to come, and I see no obstacles for me to become president in the future,” she states.

The Russian presidential elections will take place from March 15 to 17. On January 29, the Central Election Commission registered Vladimir Putin as a candidate; he will take part in the elections as a self-nominated candidate. The CEC also admitted Leonid Slutsky (LDPR), Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), Vladislav Davankov (New People). Nominees from non-parliamentary parties – Sergei Malinkovich, Boris Nadezhdin, Andrei Bogdanov, Sergei Baburin, Irina Sviridova – need to submit at least 100 thousand signatures. The decision to register all candidates will be made no later than February 10.
