American businessman Elon Musk said on social networks that several countries, individuals and organizations pay for the work of 11,000 out of 25,000 Starlink satellite Internet terminals in Ukraine. At the same time, the remaining terminals are sponsored from the budget of SpaceX, which loses $ 20 million every month.
“We are not receiving funds from the US Department of Defense. However, we are assisted by several other countries, whether private or institutional. Thank them! My company loses about $20 million every month in unpaid services and costs associated with cyber defense and other security measures,” Musk said.
He specified that SpaceX will continue to service all of its satellite Internet terminals in Ukraine.
