The ministry clarified that the Russian military will be taken to medical facilities for treatment and rehabilitation.

Earlier in June, Russia handed over to Hungary a group of Ukrainian soldiers from Transcarpathia, who took part in the hostilities and were taken prisoner. The exchange took place with the participation of the Russian Orthodox Church, the press service of the Russian Orthodox Church reported.
On May 25, Moskalkova reported that the Wagner PMC had exchanged prisoners with Ukraine. On May 6, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the return of three pilots of the Aerospace Forces from captivity. Prior to this, exchanges of prisoners with the Ukrainian side were carried out repeatedly. In particular, on April 26, the Ministry of Defense spoke about the return of 40 servicemen, and on April 10 it became known that 106 Russian servicemen returned as a result of an exchange with Ukraine.
