As part of the next, third round of negotiations, Tatyana Moskalkova, the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia, discussed with the Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets issues of helping people rebuild their families.
“We summed up the work on mutual assistance to civilians, including the establishment of the location and reunification of families,” Moskalkova wrote in her Telegram channel.
On January 11, a meeting was held in Ankara between the Ombudsmen of the Russian Federation and Ukraine Tatiana Moskalkova and Dmitry Lubinets, they were also joined by the Turkish Ombudsman Sheref Malkoch and Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Mustafa Shentop. Moskalkova said that during the talks, the parties discussed the need for a ceasefire.
The exchange between Russia and Ukraine under the control of the ombudsmen of the two countries took place on October 17, 2022. 110 people were returned home from Ukrainian captivity, including 72 sailors from civilian ships. The Ukrainian side kept the sailors in the port of Izmail for eight months, in fact, from the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine, Moskalkova explained then.
