More than 30 missing people were found in cooperation with the Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets, said Tatiana Moskalkova, human rights ombudsman in the Russian Federation.
She noted that several meetings with Lubinets had already taken place, as a result, they managed to exchange lists of missing, captured, children and civilians who would like to be reunited with their families.
“According to the Ukrainian side, we found more than 30 missing people, 34 children were reunited with their parents, grandmothers, guardians,” Moskalkova said in an interview on Channel One.
Earlier in April, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the return of 106 soldiers from Ukrainian captivity. The previous exchange of prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine took place on March 7. It was planned according to the formula 160 to 160, but the Ukrainian side agreed to exchange only 90 people. Then Moskalkova said that the negotiation process continues and the services are fighting “for each of our guys.”
