Representative of the Moscow City Duma in the Federation Council Inna Svyatenko said that the Moscow authorities are actively working to implement the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the overhaul of schools and preschool institutions.

The instructions were given by the head of state during his annual address to the Federal Assembly.

Svyatenko emphasized that when planning the development of social infrastructure, it is important to remember the main goal and the overall context.

“This context is a family. A family where there are kids and there is an older generation, where ties are strong, and where every adult makes his plans, taking into account what will be best for his children and parents,” said a representative of the Moscow City Duma.

Svyatenko said that in 2023 the capital began renovating four pilot schools, and in general there are plans to renovate 500 school buildings over five years.

“The capital is also conducting its own projects, which can be used in the future as pilot projects for other regions,” Svyatenko said. She cited examples such as the modernization of dairy kitchens.

Earlier it was reported that during his address to the Federal Assembly, Vladimir Putin announced the start of a program for the overhaul of kindergartens in 2025 and announced the launch of the national project “Family”.
