Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has decided to expand measures to support investment projects for the construction of sports facilities. According to the mayor, upon obtaining the special status of an investment priority project (IPP), the burden on regional taxes for investors will decrease to 25 percent.
“As part of the program to stimulate the creation of work places, investors can take advantage of increased coefficients when calculating the amount of benefits for paying for a change in the type of land use,” Mr. Sobyanin said in his official Telegram channel.
As the mayor of Moscow notes, the income tax rate credited to the capital budget for investors who have invested in the construction of sports facilities will be reduced to 13.5%, and the property tax rate will also be reset to zero. The land tax will be reduced to 0.7% of the accrued, and the rental rate – to 0.01% of the cadastral value.
Earlier, the Mayor of Moscow said that investors’ investments in the capital’s economy amounted to almost 6 trillion rubles last year, and investments in the city’s fixed capital are growing steadily. According to him, entrepreneurs have invested, among other things, in the purchase of machinery and equipment, the construction of non-residential buildings, and landscaping. The number of investors investing in the construction of sports facilities, the Moscow authorities would like to significantly increase. To do this, the city authorities plan to use numerous benefits and measures to support entrepreneurs.
