Moscow exchange will resume the morning session on the foreign exchange market in September

The Moscow Exchange plans to return the morning session on the foreign exchange market, in which trading will begin at 6:50 Moscow time. Yana Pleshkova, Head of Sales of the Foreign Exchange Market Department of the Exchange, explained that the return to the standard trading schedule is scheduled for September. The Moscow Exchange is also preparing to launch trading in new currencies of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.

“We plan to gradually return to our standard time schedule, which means starting trading not from 10:00 Moscow time, but from 6:50 Moscow time,” Ms. Pleshkova told reporters about operational changes in the foreign exchange market (quoted by TASS).

She also announced the intention of the exchange to expand the time of trading in the yuan with settlements “today”. “Now the yuan with “today” settlements is traded until 12:00 Moscow time. We plan to slightly extend this time, as well as expand the trading time at the expense of the morning hours. The yuan with “tomorrow” settlements is currently being traded until 19:00,” added the head of the Moscow Exchange.

Yesterday, a representative of a financial institution spoke about plans launch evening trading on the stock market in September. They were launched on the Moscow Exchange in 2020 and canceled amid the start of a military operation in Ukraine.
