The Moscow Exchange starts trading in the settled futures contract for the WHCPT wheat index and margined options on this contract from August 31. This announcement has been posted on the website. Counterparties whose futures contracts expire in September, October, November and December and whose option contracts expire in September and October of the current year will be able to participate in the auction.
The lot size of the futures contract will be equal to one ton and will be calculated in rubles per ton. The minimum step of the price and its value is 10 rubles.
The lot size for the option will be one futures contract with a minimum price step and its value – 10 rubles each.
The underlying asset of the futures contract is the wheat exchange index calculated by the National Commodity Exchange (NTB). The index value is calculated based on the results of commodity auctions for the purchase of wheat, which have been held at the NTB since August 2021.
