Moscow and Minsk signed documents on the formation of gas prices for Belarus

Russia and Belarus signed intergovernmental agreements on the formation of prices for Russian gas for the republic until 2025 inclusive, informed press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Energy in the Telegram channel.
On February 28, a working meeting was held in Moscow between Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov and his Belarusian counterpart Viktor Karankevich.
“As a result of the meeting, a protocol was signed on amending the intergovernmental agreement on the procedure for setting prices (tariffs) for the supply of natural gas to Belarus and its transportation through gas pipelines located on its territory, dated November 25, 2011,” the message says.
A protocol was also signed on amending the intergovernmental agreement on the terms of the sale and purchase of shares and the further activities of Beltransgaz OJSC dated November 25 of the same year.
On December 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko held talks in Minsk. Following the meeting, Lukashenko said that the countries had agreed on a fixed price for gas in 2023. He also added that the discussions concerned the concept of a single gas market and pricing for the next three years.
