More than half of American Democrats do not want Biden’s second term

The negative rating of the incumbent US President Joe Biden among the Democrats significantly exceeds that of the Republicans regarding the former head of state Donald Trump. This is evidenced by the results of a Reuters / Ipsos poll, in which almost 4,500 Americans became participants. According to the data, 52% of Democratic Party supporters do not want to see Biden as president in the next term. At the same time, only 40% of Republicans spoke out against Trump’s next term.
Despite significant anti-ratings, both Biden and Trump still lead their parties in terms of the number of people ready to vote for them, even if both could not overcome the 50% level. For example, 35% of Democrats are ready to vote for the incumbent president. More than 43% of Republicans would vote for Trump. His closest rival was Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, with 31% of Republicans polled in favor of him. Of the Democratic politicians, respondents chose well-known leftist Senator Bernie Sanders (13%) and incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris (12%).
