More than a thousand Russians with Schengen visas have not been able to enter Lithuania and Latvia since September, Polish Radio reports.
So, in September, the Baltic countries and Poland banned Russian citizens from entering on short-term Schengen visas, which are used for travel for tourism and recreation.
In Lithuania alone, since September 19, 709 Russians have not been allowed in, while 29 visas have been cancelled. Reportedly, most of them had previously tried to apply for a job in Lithuania, but in the end did not reach the final stage. At the same time, the number of Russians who entered Lithuania almost doubled compared to the same period last year.
In Latvia, more than 400 Russians were denied entry.
