More than 40 payments to be indexed in Russia since February

More than 40 payments, benefits and compensations, including maternity capital, will be indexed by 11.9% from February 1, reported in the press service of the Ministry of Labor with reference to the statement of the head of the department Anton Kotyakov.
“In total, it is planned to index over 40 different payments, benefits and compensations. Thus, the amount of a number of payments will be increased by 11.9%: a one-time allowance for the birth of a child, a monthly allowance for child care, maternity capital, a monthly cash payment to veterans, a monthly insurance payment and other social support measures,” he said.
In particular, the amount of maternity capital at the birth of the first child will increase by 62,500 rubles, to 587,000 rubles. The maternity capital for the second child will increase by 82,500 rubles. and will amount to 775,600 rubles.
Rosstat today published inflation data in 2022. At the end of last year, it amounted to 11.94%. Prices for services increased the most – by 13.19% in December 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. For non-food products, the increase in prices was 12.7%, for food – 10.29%.
The official forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development assumed inflation of 12.4% for the year. At the same time, in December, the head of the ministry, Maxim Reshetnikov, noted that it could be even lower – in the range of 12.0-12.4%. Back in mid-May, the ministry predicted inflation of 17.5%.
