More than 1 million people took part in protests in France

The number of participants in demonstrations against the pension reform in France amounted to more than a million, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic. In Paris, 119,000 protesters came out to protest.
According to the department, the scale of protests against the reform did not become a record – on March 7, about 1.3 million French people took part in them.
According to the estimates of the General Confederation of Labor, the number of protesters across the country amounted to 3.5 million, and in Paris – 800 thousand. On March 7, the trade union center gave approximately the same assessments.
The largest actions took place in the French capital, as well as in Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice, Rennes, Toulon and Toulouse.
