Poland can transfer Leopard tanks to Ukraine only if other countries do the same. This statement was made by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a conversation with journalists in Davos.
“We have clearly stated that we are declaring the transfer of up to 14 modern Leopard tanks, but on the condition that these tanks are transferred by others in order to be able to equip an entire or two brigades,” the Polish prime minister said.
In addition, Morawiecki urged Germany not to refuse to supply weapons to Kyiv, since, according to him, “the German contribution is extremely important,” stressing that the FRG is very strong from an economic point of view.
In addition, the Prime Minister of Poland stated that European countries in total intend to transfer about a hundred tanks to Ukraine. He stated that he had already discussed this issue with Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
