By the end of 2023, the number of participants in the Oil and Gas Cluster of the Tyumen Region may increase to 150, Governor Alexander Moore said at the TNF Industrial and Energy Forum.

“We always strive to maintain a balance between the number of participants and efficiency. This year we are aiming for 150 participants,” said in an interview with TASS.

Moore emphasized that the cluster cannot reduce the efficiency indicator for new enterprises, and therefore a clear system of supporting companies is being built. The staff was also increased and the interaction model was changed. “Today we understand exactly what market niches and needs of oil and gas producing companies our participants can fill, and where there are still gaps. Therefore, we understand where to move and who needs to be involved,” Moore clarified.

According to the General Director of the Oil and Gas Cluster Association, Alexander Sakevich, the cluster is open to cooperation with foreign companies, which will have the same benefits as domestic ones. Sakevich expects that the cluster may be of interest to companies from China.

In 2022, at the TNF forum, Moore will already told about plans to increase the number of cluster participants to 150 by the end of 2023. He clarified that the region does not have a separate goal to endlessly increase the number of participants, this growth will be organic.

The oil and gas cluster was created with the support of the governments of the Tyumen region and Yamal. September 18th were signed agreements to join the cluster of seven enterprises. In total, the association includes more than 130 companies from 21 regions.
