Parliament of Moldova is going to denounce agreements concluded within the framework of the CIS
Members of the Commission of the Moldovan Parliament on Foreign Policy and European Integration approved the conclusions on the denunciation of two agreements within the CIS.
This concerns the agreement on cooperation in the field of prevention and elimination of the consequences of natural and man-made emergencies and the agreement between the CIS member states on strategic armed forces.
According to the deputies who supported the initiative, the denunciation of the last document is necessary, since Moldova does not have nuclear weapons, and interaction within the CIS does not imply interaction in the military-political sphere. The denunciation of the agreement on the elimination of emergency situations is also timely, because the republic interacted little with the CIS countries on this issue.
