Moldova found a replacement for Russian gas

Moldovan Energocom received a license from the Romanian National Energy Regulatory Agency, shared the details Vice Prime Minister of Moldova Andrei Spinu on his Telegram channel. According to him, now the company will be able to buy and sell natural gas on the Romanian market.
According to the Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister, Energocom is also registered on the regional booking platform and has access to gas storage facilities in Ukraine. On top of that, Spinu said Moldovan Moldelectrica has signed an agreement with Transelectrica Romania on emergency delivery should the need arise. “Step by step, we are improving the energy security of our country,” he said.
In Romania, Moldova can find a replacement for the Russian Federation, which is an important supplier of “blue fuel” for the republic. At the same time, on October 1, Gazprom announced that the company has the right to terminate the contract with the Moldovan side due to the historical debt for gas.
