Mobilization in Russia thwarted plans for an early capture of Kremennaya, Zaluzhny said

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), General Valeriy Zaluzhny, believes that partial mobilization in Russia thwarted Kyiv’s plans for a rapid offensive in the Kremennaya and Svatovo areas. He said this in an interview with The Economist.

Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky also said that “Russia has great potential in terms of human resources.” The mobilized slowed down the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he believes.
Syrsky also noted that now more than 700,000 Ukrainians are under arms in one form or another, of which 200,000 are being trained. According to him, the army does not have enough ammunition, more supplies are needed.
Zaluzhny called on the allies to supply Kyiv with more weapons and ammunition, because in the current situation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot “conduct new large operations.” But now work is underway on one of them, he added.
