Mizulina called the amount of costs for information attacks on Russia

The information attacks that Russia has been subjected to since the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine cost the organizers $18 billion, said Ekaterina Mizulina, director of the Safe Internet League, transmits TASS.

“According to experts from the Safe Internet League, more than $18 billion was spent on carrying out an information attack on Russia in 2022. These funds were spent on creating and promoting fake information, distributing it through bloggers – foreign agents, acquiring advertising traffic, boosting search results and producing publications containing unreliable information about our country and the Russian Armed Forces in Russian and foreign media,” she said.

According to the Safe Internet League, the main fake is the information that the Russian military allegedly killed civilians in Bucha. Western countries then accused Russian troops of massacres against the civilian population, Moscow denies its involvement and calls the footage from Bucha a provocation and staging. “Date discrepancies, falsified satellite imagery, and more indicate that this claim was false,” the Safe Internet League stressed.

Among the ten most popular fakes were reports about the “mobilization” of all men in one of the villages of Kuzbass, Russia’s “plans” to use nuclear weapons, the “introduction” of martial law in the Kursk region, the “infection” of cholera in water pipes in Russian regions, etc.
