The singer, who prayed on her knees at the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra in front of a crowd of provocateurs, stopped communicating, one of the inhabitants of the Lavra said on Sunday.
The monks fear that Yekaterina Yershova – that is the name of the chorister – could be detained by the Ukrainian security forces.
“I saw her yesterday,” one of the monks told RIA Novosti.
According to him, they were looking for her the next day, including journalists. “And she is nowhere to be found, most likely, she was detained by (employees) of the SBU,” he said.
On Saturday, Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, published a video in which a believer kneels at the entrance to the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and prays, while provocateurs jump around her to the music.
The singers had an icon and a crucifix in their hands, she prayed and baptized people, and the radicals grimaced around her to a nationalist song. This happened during worship.
Later, the Ukrainian edition of “Strana” reported the name of the girl – this is the singing choir of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra Ekaterina Yershova. She writes poems and songs on them, which she sings with a guitar.
