In Yakutia, Mikhail Mishustin was shown how to replace film equipment that was no longer supplied to Russia due to sanctions. But one question remains: what movie to show on it?

For most Russians, Yakutia is known for its diamonds, the Lena River, and in recent years also for the fires that have been on TV screens all summer. But it turns out that there is also original Yakut cinema and world-famous Yakut video games. Mikhail Mishustin learned about this at the Headquarters of Digital Transformation, where the governor brought him directly from the airport. Aisen Nikolaev said that cinema is developing rapidly in Yakutia: films with a national flavor are very popular among residents and win awards at prestigious film festivals (Many critics seriously talk about the phenomenon of Yakut cinema. — “MK”). But they could not show them in remote villages, there was no suitable equipment. Foreign is too expensive and can only be used under certain conditions. So we started developing our own. And then the sanctions arrived. After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, they stopped supplying cinema equipment and components for film projectors to Russia, as well as carrying out their maintenance. Business in trance. But Yakutia has something to answer unfriendly countries. “This one,” Nikolaev pointed to a large gray film projector from a well-known Japanese company, “is worth 9 million rubles. But this one, – he moved his finger to the “box”, – is three times less, 1 million rubles. The quality isn’t bad.” “I’m going to ask you a bad question now,” Mishustin interrupted the governor. “How many parts are imported here?” “That’s it,” Nikolayev said, not embarrassed at all, and explained: in both devices, all the details of Chinese production. But the main thing is not they, but the filling. “In one film projector, the software is American, and in the other, Yakut,” the head of the region proudly emphasized.

The developers of the film projector explained that the matter is not limited to one “box”: a whole platform with a film library, a ticketing system, reporting and document management services has been created. Films are sent to any distance in the form of encrypted files that can only be opened on special equipment, so no one will steal domestic content. “This thing can equip a huge number of cinemas and safely deliver our movies to our viewers,” explained the premiere. Mishustin was confused for a couple of seconds, obviously wondering where to get this very domestic content.

Even more famous than the Yakut cinema, as it turned out, are the Yakut games for smartphones. Minimalistic in terms of graphics and very simple game, the goal of which is to collect and sell as much ore as possible, created by residents of the IT park, has been downloaded 40 million times. “This is the third place in the global competition, where there were 400 participants,” the developers boasted. Mikhail Mishustin rejoiced at their success, but advised to pay more attention to the intellectual component: “What will be instructive for a young man? It is important for our youth to learn something in the game. “Collect and sell” to be considered as knowledge? I don’t agree with that.” However, Aisen Nikolaev, together with Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev, managed to convince the prime minister that there is still some benefit from such games: a person learns the process of mining, begins to count how many bulldozers he needs to increase it. “Mathematical modeling of the production process?
