Mishustin instructed to analyze measures to support the industry

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin gave instructions following the results of the strategic session on industrial development, reported in the press service of the Cabinet. In particular, the Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Economic Development to analyze the mechanisms for supporting industry by July 20 and submit proposals for their improvement.
Mishustin instructed to submit to the government by July 20 a draft of the Consolidated Strategy for the Development of the Manufacturing Industry until 2024 and for the period until 2035.
“Already now we see that domestic enterprises, with the exception of some industries, are quite successfully passing the tests of sanctions, are completing adaptation to work in new, difficult conditions, and are starting to increase output. The measures taken by the president and the government are showing their effectiveness. Taking into account new challenges and tasks, it is now necessary to update the Consolidated Strategy for the Development of the Manufacturing Industry,” the Prime Minister said.
The Ministry of Economic Development, with the participation of the Analytical Center under the Government, must analyze the existing mechanisms for supporting industry by July 20 and submit proposals for their improvement, the press service said. When preparing proposals, the agency is expected to proceed from measures aimed at “consolidating demand, applying the principles of project financing, public-private partnerships and creating value added on the territory of the country for critical technologies and equipment.”
In addition, Mishustin instructed the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to work out the issue of concluding long-term contracts between enterprises in the transport engineering industry and Russian Railways. By autumn, the government will work out the issue of a source of financing for the implementation of existing and launching new measures of state support for the shipbuilding industry.
