Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Chinese President Xi Jinping have begun talks. They are held at the Great Hall of the People in downtown Beijing. The Russian prime minister said that Moscow and Beijing are bound by “centuries-old ties of good neighborliness, partnership and cooperation.” He also conveyed greetings to Mr. Xi from Vladimir Putin.
“First of all, let me convey to you comradely greetings and best wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin. He recalls with great warmth the talks with you that took place in Moscow in March,” Mr. Mishustin said at the beginning of the meeting (quoted by TASS).
According to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, “turbulence is increasing” in the international arena. “Our countries are together resisting the attempts of the collective West to maintain global dominance, to use illegal sanctions to impose their will on independent states,” says Mikhail Mishustin.
He expressed confidence that the Russian Federation and China “will resolutely rebuff these dangerous aspirations and create favorable conditions for confident progress” towards their common strategic goals.
The news is being added.
