Mishustin called worthy the results of budget execution in the first half of the year

Despite the strongest external pressure on the Russian economy, the results of the execution of the Russian federal budget in the first half of 2022 are generally worthy, declared Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a government meeting.

The volume of Russia’s external public debt has decreased by a third, Mishustin said. Budget revenues increased by a quarter compared to the same period last year and amounted to more than 14 trillion rubles, expenses – about 12.4 trillion rubles.

“Despite the strongest external pressure both on individual companies and on the economy of our country, the results are generally worthy,” Mishustin said.

According to the Prime Minister, cash execution is proceeding in accordance with the deadlines, and all parties – regions, industries and citizens – receive the stipulated resources on time. Mishustin stressed that such results were achieved due to the adopted assistance package.

Previously, ACRA analysts based on operational data for January-July reportedthat the total surplus of the budgets of the Russian regions as of August 1 amounted to more than 1.4 trillion rubles. As of July 1, according to operational data from the Ministry of Finance, the surplus of the consolidated regional budgets (including the budgets of municipalities) amounted to 1.16 trillion rubles. The federal budget in January-July, according to preliminary statistics, was executed with a surplus of 482 billion rubles. Compared to the figure for the first half of the year, it decreased by almost three times.
