Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, in the course of a report on the work of the government in the State Duma, announced a high level of ensuring the country’s food security. This, according to him, became possible due to the high growth dynamics of the agro-industrial complex in Russia.
“Our farmers did not disappoint. Growth dynamics – over 10%. The level of food security in Russia is one of the most reliable in the world. We provide an excess of domestic demand with grain (177.8%, while the value in the Doctrine is 95%), sugar (103.2% instead of 90%), vegetable oil (211.1% instead of 90%), meat (100.9% instead of 85%). %) and fish (153.3% instead of 85%),” Mishustin explained.
According to the prime minister, in 2022, a record grain harvest was recorded in Russia, it amounted to 157 million tons. Mikhail Mishustin called this a “huge success” for the Russian agricultural industry and stressed that there were no such harvest indicators even in Soviet times.
