Mishustin assessed the results of the execution of the federal budget in 2022

The results of the execution of the federal budget for 2022 are not bad. Such an assessment gave Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a government meeting, calling for the momentum to be maintained this year.

At a Cabinet meeting on June 13, one of the agenda items was the results of the federal budget execution for the past year. As Mishustin emphasized, despite the fact that external restrictions were “quite serious,” the Russian government implemented all the planned tasks. First of all, the prime minister continued, the Cabinet of Ministers “concentrated resources” on providing support to people and businesses, on fulfilling all social obligations.

“The main financial document of the country has retained its balance, many of its indicators have improved. Revenues increased by 10% and amounted to about 28 trillion rubles. At the same time, the share not related to the sale of oil and gas remained quite high – about 60%. And in absolute terms it exceeded 16.2 trillion rubles,” Mishustin cited the data.

According to the prime minister, almost 6 trillion rubles. expenses have risen. This money was primarily used to help people, Mishustin emphasized. On behalf of the president, payments were made to families with children, indexation of pensions, support for the labor market and business. “Due to advanced financing, the accelerated construction of hospitals, schools, roads, and the modernization of housing and communal services facilities were carried out,” the prime minister said. He also separately focused on the fact that the amount of external debt has decreased by almost 10%.

“In general, the results of the implementation of the federal budget last year are not bad. It is important to maintain the momentum gained this year as well. And to improve performance discipline so that the deadlines for financing all events are strictly observed,” Mishustin said at the meeting.

Formerly at the Ministry of Finance of Russia reportedthat the deficit of the federal budget of the Russian Federation for January-May of this year amounted to 3.41 trillion rubles, which is 19% lower than the total revenue for the same period in 2022. At the same time, the agency noted a steady positive trend in non-oil and gas revenues. Since the beginning of the year, such revenues amounted to more than 6.96 billion rubles.
