The leader of the Just Russia – For Truth party, Sergei Mironov, said that the unification of the SRZP and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation would definitely happen, but not under the current leadership of the communists.
He clarified that negotiations on this issue are ongoing. At the moment, no specific decisions have been made.
“I believe that the unification of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation with our party will take place in a historical perspective. At the same time, the unification will not take place under the current leadership of the communists,” Mironov noted.
He added that the two parties have very similar ideological platforms. In particular, there are many legislative initiatives that are very close in spirit.
“Considering all this, there are undoubtedly prerequisites for unification. In turn, the political monopoly “slows down” the adoption of necessary social decisions,” Mironov stressed.
