Mironov invited the Ministry of Defense to consider Ukrainian call centers as military facilities

Call centers located on the territory of Ukraine should be considered as military facilities with “all the ensuing consequences,” said Sergei Mironov, head of the party and the Duma faction “Fair Russia – For Truth” (SRZP). This is stated in his official letter (available from Vedomosti) to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

Employees of these call centers call the Russians, posing as Russian security officials, and try to convince them to set fire to the military registration and enlistment offices to help apprehend criminals, Mironov writes. If the victim does not give in to persuasion, then they begin to threaten her, for example, with problems with relatives.

In the letter, Mironov notes that on August 1-2, 25 attempts were made in Russia to set military registration and enlistment offices on fire, while Ukrainian call centers, according to him, concluded agreements with the military intelligence of Ukraine on August 1 “to conduct information sabotage” against the Russian Federation.

In a comment to Vedomosti, Mironov noted that among the arsonists there were schoolchildren, elderly Russians, and people who fell into “credit bondage”. Some of them are intimidated, while others are promised to write off the loan. At the same time, the degree of psychological processing turns out to be so high that the detainees cannot later explain why they took this step, the leader of the SRZP points out.

“Given the sabotage nature of the activities of these call centers commissioned by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, it seems appropriate to consider these call centers as military facilities with all the ensuing consequences,” Mironov concludes in his letter to Shoigu.

Mironov sent another letter with a similar description of the situation to FSB director Alexander Bortnikov. In it, the parliamentarian asked the intelligence service to take the necessary measures to “suppress the activities of these call centers as threatening the security of the Russian Federation.”

Mironov, in a comment to Vedomosti, noted that the recognition of Ukrainian call centers as objects that contribute to Ukraine’s sabotage activities in Russia automatically makes them accomplices in crimes. This puts them on a par with the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, carrying out sabotage and terrorist attacks in the Russian Federation, and military infrastructure.

“In turn, this entails the recognition of such centers as legitimate military targets for their destruction,” he concluded.

In recent days, cases of attempts to set fire to military registration and enlistment offices in the Russian regions have become more frequent. Just today, for example, the FSB department for the Nizhny Novgorod region reported on a local resident who was going to set fire to the recruiting office with Molotov cocktails, but then changed his mind, afraid of responsibility. According to him, he received the task to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office through Telegram. Also on August 7, a 52-year-old sailor was detained, who on the night of August 2 threw two Molotov cocktails into the military registration and enlistment office building in Nakhodka.
