Mironov decided to keep the sledgehammer donated by Prigogine

The leader of the party “Fair Russia – For the Truth” Sergei Mironov said he intends to keep the sledgehammer, previously presented to him by the head of the PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin.

According to the politician, what happened on June 24 is “absolutely unacceptable and will remain so,” but “this does not cross out either the previous relationship with the person or his previous merits.”

Mironov also expressed the hope that the PMC fighters “will write many more glorious pages in the military history of Russia,” writes “Fountain”.

Mironov received a sledgehammer as a gift in January. A little earlier, this instrument of labor became known in the context of the topic of PMCs as a possible murder weapon – in November 2022, a video of the alleged execution of former prisoner Yevgeny Nuzhin was circulated on the Web. According to data from open sources, this man was convicted in Russia, joined the ranks of PMCs, then moved from the NVO zone to the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and later, due to a number of circumstances, could again find himself on the other side of the line of contact. Prigozhin commented on the video, calling it “a wonderful director’s work”, but later declaredthat “if you smell a traitor, a sledgehammer comes to you.” He also told that handed over to the European Parliament a sledgehammer with the symbols of PMCs and “traces of blood”.
