Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Aleynik said in an interview with ONT TV channel about the country’s readiness to establish a dialogue with Poland, subject to mutual respect. According to him, Minsk is waiting to see how the new Polish government will determine its foreign policy.
Aleinik emphasized that Belarus was not the initiator of the deterioration of relations with Poland, but was forced to respond to systemic unfriendly steps by the Polish authorities. He emphasized that the country has always advocated dialogue based on the principles of good neighborliness. The Foreign Minister noted that Belarusian diplomats informed the Polish side of their readiness for dialogue during communication with the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He emphasized that Belarus is ready for dialogue without any preconditions, subject to mutual respect.
