Moscow has curtailed work on a draft statement by the Chairman of the UN Security Council, which related to sabotage on the Nord Stream pipelines, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry indicated that on the eve of the anniversary of the sabotage on September 26, Russian diplomats reported working on such a statement. The department said that Western countries do not want to work on the documents and intend to “slow everything down,” under the pretext that the investigation is being conducted without the UN Security Council in Germany, Denmark and Sweden.
“However, over the past year, these countries have not presented even preliminary results to the international community and refuse to cooperate with the states that suffered damage,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The department also noted that in this situation, Moscow is forced to curtail work on the draft statement of the UN Security Council Chairman on the terrorist attack and its investigation. At the same time, the Foreign Ministry stated that it will continue to draw the attention of the international community to this issue.
