Ministry of Emergency Situations: 200 Russian citizens who crossed the Rafah checkpoint moved to Cairo

More than two hundred more Russian citizens and members of their families were able to leave the Gaza Strip through the Rafah checkpoint on the border with Egypt. Now they are traveling in an organized column to Cairo. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Ministry.
The department noted that in the capital of Egypt, employees of the operational headquarters of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are waiting for the convoy. They will provide Russian citizens evacuated from the Gaza Strip with overnight accommodation, food and water, and will also provide all the necessary medical and psychological assistance. People will also be helped with the restoration of documents to enable them to return to Russia
The evacuation of Russians from the Gaga sector began on November 12. Then about 60 people were able to leave the enclave. By this time, about five hundred Russian citizens and members of their families had left the conflict zone. Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry clarified that more than a thousand people were on the evacuation list.
Since November 5, two Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations have been on duty in Cairo to evacuate Russians from Gaza.
Previously, the Russian Embassy also provided information on the dead Russians in the conflict zone. According to diplomats, 20 Russian citizens were killed and two are held hostage. Seven were declared missing.
