In Nagorno-Karabakh, about 1.5 million ammunition, seven air defense systems and 14 armored vehicles were handed over as part of the ceasefire agreements. The process of handing over weapons and military equipment is controlled by Russian peacekeepers, reported press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“As of September 28, the following were delivered: 14 units of armored vehicles, 13 units of automotive vehicles, seven units of air defense equipment, 45 units of field artillery guns, MLRS and mortars, more than 4,500 units of small arms, anti-tank weapons and MANPADS, about 1.5 million ammunition,” – clarified by the department.

The Ministry of Defense added that Russian peacekeepers have not recorded any cases of ceasefire violations in the region.

Russian military personnel in Nagorno-Karabakh completed the helicopter evacuation of civilians after the explosion of a fuel tank in Stepanakert, the department also reported. They made 42 flights with the participation of a detachment of military doctors and took 258 people out of the danger zone.

Currently, 117 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh remain with the peacekeepers, 50 of them are children. The press service of the Ministry of Defense noted that people were provided with the necessary medical care, as well as accommodation and food.

Azerbaijan launched “anti-terrorism measures” in Nagorno-Karabakh to “restorate the constitutional order” on September 19. The next day, the authorities of the unrecognized republic announced the conclusion of agreements on a complete ceasefire. On September 21, negotiations were held in Yevlakh between the delegation of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh and representatives of the Azerbaijani authorities.

By the morning of September 28, more than 65,000 people had arrived in Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh. The President of the unrecognized NKR Samvel Shahramanyan signed a decree on the termination of its existence from January 1, 2024 and the dissolution of all state institutions and organizations.
