Pilot Su-27 Datiyev shot down two Ukrainian Mi-24s and Su-25s in one sortie
Senior instructor, pilot Alan Datiev shot down two Mi-24 helicopters and one Su-25 attack aircraft of the Ukrainian military in one sortie, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Datiev said he spotted two enemy helicopters while doing routine air patrols on the front line. “I took all measures,” the pilot said, “rapprochement, launching an attack and destruction.”
Then, already in another patrol area, the Russian Su-27 pilot again found the targets. He saw 3 aircraft, which, according to their characteristics, resembled Su-25 attack aircraft. Datiev, as noted in the department, created the conditions due to which two attack aircraft turned around, and one that tried to attack failed.
“As a result – three: zero in my favor,” said Alan Datiev.
