The head of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko said on Sunday in a telegram channel that the Security Service of Ukraine and the police launched an investigation into possible chants about Russia during a service in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).
They sang in the church allegedly in Russian. Tkachenko wrote that the video must first be checked for authenticity.
Earlier, the SBU put on the wanted list the rector of the temple in the Kharkiv region, who spoke on the side of the Russian Federation. According to the service, in the Akupyansky district, the rector at sermons agitated the parishioners to go over to the side of Russia. He was assisted by a local resident. Both the priest and his assistant have already left Ukraine.
