Overhaul of the last functioning turbine of the Nord Stream gas pipeline is currently impossible, said Alexei Miller, Chairman of the Board of Gazprom. He clarified that this is hindered by anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the West.
For this reason, as part of the ongoing work, all technical and technological risks that can be eliminated in a timely manner will be identified, Miller specified.
The procedures, according to him, are needed precisely to ensure that the turbine continues to work until it stops.
Stopping the last turbine will mean the impossibility of pumping gas through the Russian Nord Stream gas pipeline. After the maintenance, deliveries will continue at 20% of the maximum.
