Military Watch: Su-34s with “Daggers” are changing the landscape of modern warfare

The Kinzhal hypersonic missiles have become a key element of Russia’s military operations, enriching the country’s tactical arsenal. For the first time this type of weapon launched from a Su-34 fighter-bomberwhich has changed the landscape of modern warfare, according to Military Watch magazine.

Previously, modified MiG-31K fighter jets were used to launch Kinzhals, but Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s new decision to equip the Su-34 with this deadly weapon has expanded the capabilities of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the special operations zone in Ukraine.

The article notes that the Su-34, recognized as the world’s longest-range tactical combat aircraft, has now become even more powerful, capable of carrying much more deadly cargo over long distances. The move will greatly enhance Russian air power and make the Su-34 an essential element in all theaters of operations, from the Arctic and the Far East to Ukraine and Syria.

“Kinzhal missiles are actively used in the Ukrainian theater of operations. One of the most significant achievements is the destruction of Patriot air defense systems in Kyiv in May of this year,” the article notes.
