How informs The National Interest, American military analyst Jeff Lamer called the decision of the US authorities to provide Ukraine with Patriot air defense systems a mistake.
The expert recalled that these anti-aircraft missile systems have a number of imperfections that drastically reduce their effectiveness.
“Patriot systems are vulnerable. The operation of the Patriot system’s radar reveals its location, making it an easy target for Russian strikes. This means that these systems cannot act as a universal means of protecting Ukrainian military installations,” Lamer said.
