MIFF Grand Prix won the Iranian film “Without prior arrangement”

The film of the Iranian director Behruz Shoaibi “Without prior arrangement” won the “Golden Saint George” – the Grand Prix of the 44th Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF). The awards ceremony takes place at the Rossiya cinema in Moscow.
Other winners of the film festival are:
- Serbian director Sinisi Cvetich for the film “Beheading” received the “Silver St. George” for directing;
- Bangladeshi director Juboraj Shamim received a special jury prize for best director;
- actress Peg Akhangarani, who played in the film “Without prior arrangement”, received the award for best actress;
- actor Costel Kashkaval, who played in the film “The Voice of One Crying in the Wilderness” by the Romanian director Cyprian Mega, received the award for best male role;
- the award for the best short film went to the film “Breeze” by Iranian director Hamidrez Ghazemi;
- the prize for a documentary film went to director Sergei Debizhev for the film The Holy Archipelago.
“Silver St. George” for the best film in the “Russian Premieres” competition was awarded to the film “Healthy Man” directed by Pyotr Todorovsky.
MIFF was held from August 26 to September 2. 13 films entered the main competition. The first Moscow Film Festival took place in 1935.
